Why did we name the app Fika?

Our aim is not to become another distraction that you have on your phone, or another reason to escape the people around you. No, instead, we want this to be an avenue for you to connect with them.

Fika is a way to discover a local cafe or roaster and share something with the person next to you or the barista across from you.

Fika is a way to travel to a new city that you know nothing about, swing by a shop and drink a cup of coffee in a brand new environment that feels as comfortable as your own home.

Fika is a community with which to share your experiences.
